Overview
Obesity Medicine Fellow 2026-38962
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, is the only fully integrated and multidisciplinary academic weight management center in the state of New Hampshire. The adult consultative clinic is a physician-led program providing comprehensive evaluations and management of obesity as a chronic disease focusing on health. Our team includes obesity-trained physicians and advanced practitioners, dedicated obesity-trained nurses, registered dieticians, certified health coaches, a health psychologist. These team members are part of our Center for Digestive Health, a collaboration between Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Obesity Medicine, and Digestive Surgery.
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth are searching for a 1-year advanced Fellow for training in Obesity Medicine. Following the completion of this one-year program, the Fellow is expected to have gained competency in all aspects of the evaluation and medical management of patients with obesity.
Fellows will become deeply involved in ongoing obesity research projects and will become proficient in engaging in clinical trials, outcomes research, prospective studies, and quality improvement. The fellow will receive an appropriate academic appointment as a member of the faculty of the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.
Our Fellowship works with Obesity Medicine Fellowship Counsel (OMFC) and candidates need to Register and complete the OMFC Standard Application. https://omfellowship.org/application/. We are not accepting applications for July 2027. The priority Application window is August 4 - November 7, 2026. Please do not submit an application before August 4. Applicants must have completed a 3-year residency in internal medicine, Family Medicine, Preventative Medicine, Geriatrics, with consideration of other residencies by June 30, 2027.

  • All requirements for candidate's MD/DO degree must be completed prior to start date.
  • Must exhibit excellent analytical and communication skills
