To thrive as a Recruiting Sourcing Specialist, you need a solid understanding of talent acquisition strategies, Boolean search techniques, and experience with candidate databases or ATS platforms, often supported by a degree in HR or related field. Familiarity with sourcing tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and CRM systems is typically required. These skills and tools are vital for efficiently identifying, contacting, and nurturing qualified candidates to meet organizational hiring needs.

What are some typical challenges faced by professionals in Recruiting Sourcing, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in Recruiting Sourcing often encounter challenges such as finding qualified candidates for hard-to-fill roles, engaging passive talent, and keeping up with rapidly changing job market trends. These challenges can be addressed by leveraging advanced sourcing tools, nurturing strong talent pipelines, and continuously updating search strategies. Collaboration with hiring managers and recruiters is also essential to refine candidate profiles and ensure alignment with organizational needs, resulting in more effective and efficient sourcing efforts.

What is recruiting sourcing?

Recruiting sourcing is the process of identifying, attracting, and engaging potential candidates for job openings, often before they apply. Sourcing specialists use various strategies, such as searching online databases, networking, and social media, to find qualified individuals who may not be actively looking for a new job. The goal is to build a strong talent pipeline and connect with passive candidates to fill current and future hiring needs.

Job description

Our Mission: To revolutionize veterinary staffing by creating meaningful, flexible careers for veterinarians while delivering exceptional, reliable talent to hospitals, bringing balance and harmony to both sides of the care equation.

Why Join IndeVets: Join a fast-growing, values-driven company at the forefront of reshaping how veterinary medicine works. Work with passionate, talented people who care deeply about quality medicine and doctor well-being.

The Recruiting Sourcing Specialist is where IndeVets™ growth begins. This role is the driving force behind finding and engaging the exceptional veterinarians who power our mission — identifying talent before it's looking, building meaningful pipelines through thoughtful outreach, and turning curiosity into commitment. Beyond the search itself, this specialist brings the rigor to make recruiting measurable and repeatable, ensuring the team always knows what's working and why.

  • Own a high-volume sourcing operation targeting licensed veterinarians across the U.S., using direct outreach, social media, referrals, and networking to build a robust pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Build and sustain a bench of passive veterinarian candidates through targeted engagement and strategic relationship-building, ensuring IndeVets always has qualified prospects in motion.
  • Maintain ATS and CRM data integrity with daily accuracy checks, weekly audits, and proactive troubleshooting, so the team can trust every report it runs.
  • Serve as the early-stage candidate relationship owner, managing initial communication and qualification before handing off to the recruiting team.
  • Partner with marketing and recruiting leadership to sharpen sourcing strategy, improve conversion rates, and keep IndeVets visible in veterinary professional communities.

You’ll Thrive in This Role If You Have...

  • Naturally inquisitive: you're energized by the search itself and genuinely curious about the people you engage with, not just the end result.
  • Experience sourcing in a specialized or licensed professional or certification vertical, with an understanding that finding the right candidate takes patience, creativity, and real relationship-building.
  • CRM/ATS ownership with a track record of clean data: you maintain pipeline accuracy and reporting integrity even at high volume.
  • Cross-market coordination at pace: you bring the organizational agility to juggle simultaneous campaigns across regions and teams, maintaining pipeline clarity and recruiter alignment.
  • Data-driven Sourcer: you track pipeline metrics, source performance, and conversion rates — and you bring that analysis to conversations.

Benefits

Did we mention we have competitive pay and great benefits? Specifically:

  • Medical Insurance with a monthly Company contribution

  • Low-Cost Dental and Vision Insurance

  • Company-Paid Short-Term Disability Insurance

  • Low-Cost Long-Term Disability Insurance

  • Company-Paid Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance

  • Voluntary Employee, Spouse, and Dependent Life Insurance

  • Company-Paid Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

  • Paid Parental Leave

  • Generous Paid-Time Off

  • 401(k) and Roth 401(k) contribution with 100% employer match up to the first 4% with no vesting period
