Job description

Position Title: Aeromedical Case Manager Lead Division: 1Health Solutions Location: Robbins Air Force Base, Georgia Position Summary The Aeromedical Case Manager Lead provides administrative and technical case management support for Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command (HQ AFRC) Aerospace and Operational Medicine Division. This position will serve as the Subject Matter Expert, be the on-site company focal point and task lead oversighting associated on-site personnel. This position supports the review, tracking, processing, and coordination of medical cases affecting flying and non-flying personnel while ensuring medical readiness and compliance with Air Force medical standards and regulatory requirements. The technician will accomplish administrative case evaluation by receiving, tracking, and reviewing pertinent medical data/information (e.g., medical history, doctor's findings) to ensure proper documentation is available for government medical providers to substantiate granting a waiver. All information must be input into respective electronic systems depending on case type. The technician serves as a primary liaison between Reserve Medical Units (RMUs), providers, medical treatment facilities, and service members to facilitate timely and accurate case adjudication and resolution. Position contingent upon award of contract, government acceptance of candidate, and positive adjudication of government investigation. Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Serve as the contractor's on-site Lead and primary point of contact for daily operations. • Coordinate workload distribution to ensure timely completion of all assigned case management activities. • Monitor team productivity, quality, and performance metrics. • Participate in Government meetings and provide status updates, action items, and recommendations. • Assist Program Management with staffing, recruiting, onboarding, and employee performance management. • Support quality assurance initiatives and continuous process improvement efforts. • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, Air Force instructions, and established operating procedures. • Review, evaluate, and process aeromedical case files for flying and non-flying personnel. • Analyze medical documentation to determine completeness and compliance with Air Force medical standards. • Process accession, retention, mobility, deployment, and flying waiver cases. • Coordinate with Reserve Medical Units (RMUs), Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs), Aeromedical Consult Service (ACS), MAJCOMs, and Headquarters Air Force personnel regarding case requirements. • Monitor cases throughout the adjudication process to ensure timely disposition. • Coordinate Line of Duty (LOD) determinations and Retention Limitation (RILO) processing. • Ensure accurate documentation and tracking of case actions throughout the review lifecycle. • Maintain accurate information within applicable Government systems including, but not limited to: Aeromedical Waiver Management Information Tracking System (AIMWTS), Electronic Case Tracking (ECT), Physical Examination Processing Program (PEPP), MEDXS, and Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT) • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports, memoranda, correspondence, and leadership briefings. • Analyze workload trends and case management metrics. • Support updates to policies, procedures, and training materials. • Assist with educational programs supporting Reserve Medical Units and Aerospace Medicine personnel. • Participate in meetings and provide administrative support for organizational initiatives. • Provide technical guidance to Reserve Medical Units, medical personnel, and supported organizations. • Respond professionally to inquiries from military personnel and stakeholders. • Coordinate resolution of case issues while maintaining exceptional customer service. • Communicate effectively with leadership, medical providers, commanders, first sergeants, and Government representatives. • Other duties as assigned Education & Experience Requirements • Associate degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, Medical Assisting, Nursing, Allied Health, Business Administration, or a closely related field. • OR • Six (6) years of directly related military or civilian experience in Air Force Aerospace Medicine, Aeromedical Case Management, Medical Standards, Medical Readiness, or Medical Administration. • Demonstrated experience with: Air Force medical readiness programs, Aeromedical waiver processing, Medical case management, Medical terminology, Physical examination standards, Line of Duty (LOD) determinations, Disability Evaluation System (DES), Medical Evaluation Boards (MEB), Air Force medical policies and guidance, Microsoft Office Suite, • Highly desired demonstrated experience with: AIMWTS, PEPP, ECT, MEDXS, MICT, and Joint Legacy Viewer (JLV) • Strong leadership and team coordination skills • Excellent verbal and written communication • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities • Analytical problem-solving skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously • High attention to detail and accuracy • Professional judgment and discretion when handling sensitive medical information • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Strong customer service orientation • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and Privacy Act requirements #ClearanceJobs 1 Health Solutions, LLC is an equal opportunity employer. 1 Health Solutions LLC does not discriminate in employment opportunities or practices on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status or any other characteristic protected by law.
