Position: HR Staffing Coordinator Intern

Job Summary:
Our HR Staffing Coordinator Intern will assist in the coordination of staffing and recruiting processes. The ideal candidate should be passionate about healthcare and technology, comfortable speaking to candidates, multitask efficiently, be organized, flexible, and driven. A flexible schedule is allowed, but availability of 5 days per week is preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the HR Department, the intern will:
  • Assist with recruiting and staffing coordination activities for open positions.
  • Learn and support the recruitment process by posting job advertisements on approved job boards and recruitment platforms.
  • Assist with sourcing potential candidates using applicant tracking systems (ATS), online databases, and professional networking platforms.
  • Review resumes and applications to identify candidates meeting minimum qualifications.
  • Conduct initial candidate outreach to confirm interest, availability, and interview scheduling.
  • Coordinate interviews by communicating with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Assist with preparing offer letters, onboarding packets, and new hire documentation.
  • Support new employee onboarding and orientation activities.
  • Assist with employment verification, reference check coordination, and pre-employment documentation, as assigned.
  • Help maintain confidential employee and applicant records in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Assist with updating job descriptions and recruitment materials.
  • Participate in recruitment events, career fairs, and community outreach activities when applicable.
  • Support HR reporting by maintaining recruiting metrics and preparing basic reports.
  • Provide administrative support for HR projects and department initiatives.
  • Perform other HR-related administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, Organizational Leadership, Public Administration, Communication, or a related field.
  • At least a year of HR Recruiting or Staffing Coordination experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience in Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience in HRIS Software.
  • Must consent to and pass a formal background check including fingerprinting.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor H-1B or other employment visas at this time.

Internship Requirements:
To be considered for this internship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
  • Be available to intern 10-20 hours per week
  • Be available to intern at least three (3) days per week.
  • Commit to the internship for a minimum of 3-6 months.
  • Be able to work on-site at either our Union, NJ or Cherry Hill, NJ office, based on departmental needs and availability.

Our Corporate and Administrative Internship positions at Neuropath are designed as structured learning and development experiences, with a minimum commitment of six (6) months. Completion of our internship program - whether as an undergraduate or as a graduate with a bachelor's degree - does not guarantee employment. While participation in the internship may lead to consideration for a paid role, transition to employment is not automatic or guaranteed. Hiring decisions are determined by organizational needs, position availability, and the individual's demonstrated readiness for the role.
Interns seeking to transition into a paid position must meet the following criteria:
  • Successful completion of the full 6-month internship term.
  • Completion of all required training and workflow processes.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all core responsibilities, with the ability to perform assigned tasks independently and comprehensively without direct supervision.
  • Successful performance reviews at both the 90-day and 180-day milestones.
  • Ability to commute to our office in Cherry Hill, NJ.

Current students who have not yet graduated are not eligible for paid employment in administrative positions but may continue as interns. Candidates without a degree will be considered for entry-level roles (e.g., Client Services) on a case-by-case basis.
All interns - regardless of educational background - must exhibit the level of competency required to meet the demands of the position, including adaptability, technical proficiency, communication skills, and a thorough understanding of our operational standards. This applies equally to entry-level roles such as Client Service Administrators (CSA). We do not hire interns into trainee positions; all hires must be prepared to assume full responsibilities from day one.
