Driver Recruiter
Pay: $29–$32/hour
Location: On Site in Savannah, GA
About the Role
We are seeking a driven and resourceful Driver Recruiter to lead recruiting efforts for independent contractors, owner operators, subhaulers, and small trucking companies. This role plays a key part in building a reliable pipeline of qualified driving partners to support ongoing operational growth.
This is a 6–9 month contract opportunity, with strong potential to convert to a full-time position based on performance and business needs. This position is fully on-site and requires a hands-on, proactive recruiting approach.  
Key Responsibilities
  • Execute full-cycle recruiting activities from sourcing through onboarding
  • Identify, attract, and engage independent contractors, owner operators, and small fleet partners using both traditional and creative sourcing strategies
  • Conduct high-volume outreach including cold calling, lead follow-up, and inbound response management
  • Proactively recruit in the field at driver-heavy locations including truck stops, fueling stations, maintenance shops, and eateries
  • Screen and interview candidates to assess qualifications, experience, and overall business fit
  • Educate candidates on compensation structures, contract terms, and operational expectations
  • Review and pre-qualify candidates by evaluating MVRs, equipment specifications, and required documentation
  • Partner closely with Safety and Operations teams to ensure all compliance requirements are met
  • Track recruiting activity, maintain accurate pipeline data, and provide daily status updates
  • Build strong relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders to support ongoing hiring needs
  Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience recruiting owner operators, independent contractors, or company drivers
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proven success using creative sourcing strategies to generate qualified candidate pipelines
  • Strong outbound calling skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and effectively
  • Solid understanding of DOT regulations and driver qualification standards
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws related to recruiting
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage a high-volume workload and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and professional presence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
