Overview

ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTHCARE & FACILITIES SBU

Huntsville, AL

The Recruiter I provides full cycle recruiting by utilizing multiple sources (i.e. job boards, social media, networking, associations, referrals, cold calls, etc.) to find qualified candidates for various positions within the Strategic Business Unit (SBU).  The Recruiter I will be responsible for sourcing, screening, qualifying, submitting candidates and extending offers of employment to candidates. The recruiter must work within set time frames and expectations set by management.

Responsibilities
  • Fills open positions efficiently and effectively by performing direct sourcing of candidates by utilizing job boards, social and professional networking sites, referrals, and researching varying internet vehicles to find qualified candidates
  • Performs cold calling, referral or incumbent calls, and numerous follow up conversations,  to prospective candidates located via all avenues of search
  • Gains knowledge of attractions to the geographical area and advantages of working at a Government facility to present favorable and comprehensive information to the candidate in selling the position; fully reviews Job Description and ensures candidate meets all requirements.
  • Reviews resumes obtained from candidates for content and applicability to Job Description requirements
  • Negotiates salary per job requisition within approved range maintaining a fiduciary responsibility to the company, fully explains and gains understanding from candidate of time off policy and corresponding pay rate, WDR, 401a and SCA fringe if applicable, reviews all position details and directs candidate to formally apply for the position by completing an online employment application
  • Screens and evaluates candidates' skill set, work history, education, and negotiated salary requirements where applicable - current state licensing and required certifications; completes reference checks if needed
  • Presents Hiring Manager with qualified candidate(s), meeting all Job Description  requirements, with a brief description of applicants' history, 1 - 2 references - as required, and CV copy for facility consideration and acceptance.
  • Contacts accepted candidate to extend an offer of employment, and again details contract hours, length of contract, hourly schedule, time off, federal holidays, benefits, and pay rate, start of employment is dependent upon pre-employment screening, credentialing verifications where applicable; obtains all additional required information and sends official offer via Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or email
  • Completes and distributes a New Hire Notification (NHN) form
  • Assists Credentialing department, as needed, with questions and obtaining necessary information preliminary to the extensive/background security check
  • Documents and maintains Applicant Tracking System of record of all calls placed, emails sent, analyzing and documenting candidate eligibility/status, building a database of candidates' resumes and pool of future applicants, ensuring ATS integrity and consistency
  • Maintains hiring records in compliance with government requirements
  • Adheres to all Chenega Corporate employment policies and procedures.
  • Participates in recruitment job fairs as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree
  • Experience recruiting for Environmental, Healthcare and/or Facilities positions
  • Experience recruiting for Government contracts
