Job Summary:

Sprain Brook Manor, a 120-bed skilled Nursing Facility in Westchester, NY, is seeking a full or part-time Recreation Assistant to join our team. As a Recreation Assistant, you will play a vital role in planning, implementing, and recording the progress of recreation programs for our geriatric population. We are looking for a positive and energetic individual who enjoys bringing joy into people's lives.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and record progress of recreation programs for our geriatric population
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with residents, families, and staff
• Create and lead recreational activities, such as games, crafts, and social events
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to design and implement therapy programs
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress
• Participate in resident assessments and develop individualized recreation plans

Requirements:

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma
• Minimum Experience: 1-3 years of direct or related experience
• Preferred Education: Associate's degree in Recreation or related field
