What You'll Do

As a Direct Support Professional, you will:

  • Assist individuals with personal care, daily living activities, and personal hygiene.

  • Help prepare meals and maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home.

  • Transport residents to medical appointments, recreational activities, and community outings.

  • Follow Physician Orders, Nursing Care Plans, and Person-Centered Plans.

  • Complete daily documentation and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and team members.

  • Encourage independence while providing compassionate support.

  • Assist with household responsibilities including cooking, laundry, shopping, and housekeeping.

  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and ensure the health and safety of residents.

  • Build positive relationships while treating every individual with dignity and respect.

Qualifications
  • Valid Driver's License required.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and FBI fingerprinting.

  • Ability to complete paid training requirements, including CPR, First Aid, Recipient Rights, Universal Precautions, and State-required Direct Care Worker Training.

  • Ability to assist individuals with mobility and personal care needs.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Ability to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
