Job description

Adecco is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Transportation Dispatcher in Olive Branch, MS. This role involves coordinating and dispatching loads to carriers, tracking shipments, managing routing, preparing reports, and supporting daily transportation operations. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of transportation or supply chain experience, strong computer skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:


• Dispatch loads to carriers and coordinate daily transportation activities
• Track shipments and monitor freight to ensure timely delivery
• Manage routing and help ensure internal freight needs and customer requirements are met
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate transportation records
• Develop, generate, and distribute scheduled and ad hoc reports
• Source and analyze data using Excel, Access, and transportation reporting systems
• Monitor day-to-day logistics operations and identify potential issues
• Communicate effectively with carriers, team members, customers, and senior management
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve transportation-related concerns
• Always follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Assist with other transportation and administrative tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:


• Must have 1–2 years of experience in transportation or supply chain management
• Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Experience with Access and transportation reporting applications is a plus
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple objectives
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal direction
• Proven ability to meet and exceed expectations
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to be assertive and persistent while remaining professional and tactful
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Professional communication, demeanor, and appearance
• Flexibility to provide backup coverage on weekends as needed

SCHEDULE:
• Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–11:00 PM
• Saturday/Sunday – Must be flexible for backup coverage
• Peak season (October–December) schedules may change based on customer shipping requirements
• Training hours may differ from the regular schedule

Pay Details: $23.00 per hour
