What You'll Do
    • Validate and maintain daily census information and submit census activity reports to the Business Office or designated departments
    • Submit required census reports to state agencies on a weekly or as-needed basis
    • Retrieve and manage monthly reports from CMS and other regulatory systems
    • Organize, review, and analyze medical records for discharged residents to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to filing
    • Prepare documentation and reports for Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QA & A/QAPI) initiatives
    • Maintain closed medical records, ensuring proper storage, accessibility, and compliant destruction per policy
    • Maintain physician/NP scheduling and assist with related coordination tasks
    • Manage role assignments for physicians and nursing staff within electronic systems (e.g., HPN or similar platforms)
    • Support regulatory compliance by ensuring documentation is accurate, timely, and audit-ready
    • Assist with investigations, audits, and record retrieval as needed
    • If applicable, supervise and support Medical Records Assistant(s), including onboarding, training, scheduling, evaluations, and performance oversight
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless communication and documentation flow

What We're Looking For
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • Minimum of two (2) years of long-term care experience required
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and database systems
    • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
    • Education or training in medical records management leading toward RHIT certification preferred
    • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
    • Commitment to confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and regulatory standards
