At SuperOrdinary, we're the driving force behind the global success of today's most exciting consumer brands. More than an agency, we're the go-to growth partner for brands looking to win in social commerce and e-commerce, connecting industry leaders like Disney, H&M, Laneige, Touchland, Glow Recipe, and Peter Thomas Roth with creators and consumers around the world. Our team of e-commerce, creator, and social commerce experts helps brands build influence, accelerate sales, and create meaningful consumer connections across the world's fastest-growing marketplaces.
We're at the forefront of the commerce revolution, pioneering growth across TikTok Shop, Amazon, and other leading and emerging marketplaces where content, community, and commerce come together. The playbook is constantly evolving, and so are we. We thrive in an environment where experimentation, speed, and continuous learning are essential to staying ahead.
We're looking for people who are naturally curious, solutions-oriented, and energized by solving complex challenges. The best teammates here have a hustle mentality, embrace change, and are always looking for better ways to build, test, and scale. We set a high bar for ourselves and for our partners, earning our reputation as the trusted experts brands rely on to navigate an ever-changing commerce landscape and deliver exceptional results.
The Role
The Social Commerce Specialist / Manager is responsible for day-to-day execution and growth across marketplace and social commerce channels, with increasing ownership of brand performance, recommendations, and strategic initiatives based on experience and demonstrated capability.
TikTok Shop will be a significant focus of this role, with the opportunity to work across other marketplaces such as Amazon and emerging commerce platforms. The role is intentionally flexible, allowing individuals to lean more analytical/operational or more creative and creator-focused based on their strengths, while maintaining accountability for execution and measurable business outcomes.
This role may be leveled at the Specialist or Manager level depending on experience, scope, and demonstrated ownership. Specialists will primarily focus on strong day-to-day execution, operational excellence, and supporting performance initiatives, while Managers will take broader ownership of brand performance, independently identify growth opportunities, develop recommendations, and drive initiatives from strategy through execution and results.
Key Responsibilities
Execute Social Commerce Initiatives
  • Own day-to-day execution across TikTok Shop and other marketplace channels, including campaign setup, shop and account management, product setup, promotions, sampling workflows, content tracking, and sales performance.
  • Ensure campaigns, launches, promotions, and marketplace initiatives are executed accurately, on time, and in alignment with brand priorities.
  • Proactively identify operational issues and opportunities that may impact marketplace performance.
Own Creator & Affiliate Commerce from Outreach to GMV
  • Manage and optimize the full creator commerce funnel: creator identification and outreach → sampling → content creation → content tracking → conversion → GMV growth.
  • Build and maintain creator relationships, supporting ongoing communication, affiliate participation, paid collaborations, and repeat content opportunities.
  • Monitor creator and affiliate performance, identifying which creators, content, products, and offers are driving meaningful traffic, conversion, and GMV.
  • Recommend and execute opportunities to improve creator activation, content volume, conversion, and revenue contribution.
  • Partner with internal teams and creators to troubleshoot performance gaps and continuously improve the creator commerce funnel.
Drive Brand Performance & Recommendations
  • Own regular performance reviews across assigned brands and channels, using marketplace and social commerce data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for growth.
  • Translate performance data into clear, actionable recommendations around content, creators, assortment, pricing, promotions, traffic, conversion, and overall channel strategy.
  • Provide proactive updates to brand partners and internal leadership on performance, key learnings, and recommended next steps.
  • For Manager-level roles, independently develop and drive broader growth recommendations and initiatives, aligning stakeholders and taking ownership from recommendation through execution and measurable results.
Support Marketplace Growth
  • Execute initiatives across marketplaces such as Amazon and other emerging platforms, including assortment launches, promotions, pricing updates, product detail page updates, campaign registrations, and other marketplace-specific growth initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product visibility, conversion, assortment, and overall marketplace performance.
Analyze Performance & Optimize
  • Track key metrics across channels, including GMV/revenue, traffic, conversion, CTR, CTOR, content volume, creator activation, affiliate performance, and other marketplace-specific KPIs.
  • Conduct funnel and channel analysis to understand what is driving performance and where opportunities or bottlenecks exist.
  • Use data and performance trends to continuously test, learn, and optimize channel and creator strategies.
Support Brand Growth Initiatives
  • Work closely with the Brand Lead to execute launches, promotions, assortment strategies, pricing updates, and seasonal or tentpole campaigns across channels.
  • Bring forward proactive recommendations based on marketplace, creator, and sales performance.
  • Help translate broader brand objectives into clear social commerce and marketplace actions.
Coordinate Cross-Functionally
  • Partner with ads, creative, operations, supply chain, customer service, and external partners to ensure smooth execution and alignment across initiatives.
  • Communicate priorities, dependencies, risks, and performance updates clearly across teams.
Own Reporting & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate performance reporting, trackers, and internal documentation.
  • Support weekly and monthly reporting for internal teams and brand partners, including performance highlights, challenges, insights, and recommended actions.
  • Ensure reporting goes beyond data collection to clearly communicate what happened, why it happened, and what should happen next.
Maintain Operational Excellence
  • Monitor inventory status, product listings, account/shop health, campaign readiness, content compliance, and other operational requirements.
  • Proactively identify and resolve risks or issues that may impact performance.
Manage & Guide VAs
  • Oversee VA execution related to creator communication, sample management, data entry, marketplace operations, and other operational support.
  • Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness while providing clear direction and accountability.
Qualifications
  • Relevant Experience: 1-3+ years of experience in e-commerce, marketplace management, social commerce, affiliate marketing, influencer marketing, or digital marketing. Level will be determined based on scope, experience, and demonstrated ownership.
  • Marketplace Experience: Hands-on experience with TikTok Shop strongly preferred. Experience with Amazon, Shopify, DTC, or other marketplaces is a plus.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Comfortable working with performance data, spreadsheets, and dashboards; able to translate data into actionable insights, recommendations, and growth opportunities.
  • Operational Rigor: Highly organized with strong attention to detail; able to manage multiple brands, channels, campaigns, creators, and timelines simultaneously.
  • Creator & Commerce Knowledge: Understanding of the full creator commerce funnel, including outreach, sampling, content, affiliate mechanics, conversion, and GMV. Experience with marketplace operations is a plus.
  • Clear Communicator: Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to coordinate effectively with internal teams, creators, brand partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Ownership Mentality: Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking accountability for both execution and outcomes. Able to identify issues, develop solutions, and follow through to completion.
  • Execution-Oriented Mindset: Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities can shift quickly and high-quality execution matters.
  • Growth Mentality: Willingness to learn across multiple commerce channels and develop expertise in both analytical/operational and creative/creator-facing workstreams as business needs evolve.
Leveling: Specialist vs. Manager
Specialist
  • Primarily focused on high-quality day-to-day execution across assigned channels, campaigns, creators, and operational workflows.
  • Supports reporting, performance analysis, and recommendations with guidance from senior team members.
