Job description

If you’re looking for a purpose and not just a job, join the Smoothie King team and turn your purpose into a fulfilling passion!

We're not just the pioneers of the nutritional smoothie; we're the champions of inspiring people to live a healthy and active lifestyle. With over 1300 stores and counting, we’ve grown to become the largest nutritional smoothie bar in the nation, with a simple recipe for success: Hire the best people, use the best ingredients, and blend with a purpose.

At Smoothie King, we're serious about our clean ingredients and passionate about our guests' health and wellness journeys—but that doesn't mean we don't know how to have a good time. Here, you'll find work that's equal parts challenging and rewarding, all within a culture that's as amazing as our smoothies. We're committed to continuous improvement, achieving our goals, and fostering a supportive and collaborative environment where every team member can thrive.

Overview

Ready to blend culture, creativity, and clean ingredients into scroll-stopping content?

The TikTok & Social Content Creator is the driving force behind our TikTok-first storytelling — bringing Smoothie King to life through bold, culturally relevant, short-form video content that feels native, entertaining, and impossible to ignore.

In this role, you’ll turn health, nutrition, and performance into content that educates without preaching and entertains without losing credibility. You’ll ideate, create, and publish platform-first content that builds community, sparks conversation, and packs more power into every post.

Working cross-functionally with internal teams and agency partners, you’ll ensure everything we put into the world is on-brand, accurate, and aligned to business priorities — while keeping our voice confident, clever, and unmistakably Smoothie King.

Content Strategy & Creation

  • Develop and execute TikTok-first content aligned to brand positioning, cultural trends, and our holistic health philosophy.
  • Create a blend of original, small-scale content (shot and edited in-house) and curated content from influencers, franchisees, and fans.
  • Translate health, nutrition, and performance concepts into consumer-friendly, culturally relevant content.
  • Monitor TikTok and social platform trends and help turn relevant signals into on-brand content ideas.
  • Write concepts, captions, and scripts; collaborate with agency partners and internal teams to bring ideas to life.
  • Support influencer and creator content by reviewing, selecting, and recommending high-performing assets for reposting and amplification.

Brand Voice & Tone

  • Maintain a consistent, authentic brand voice tailored to TikTok and short-form culture.
  • Create content that feels relatable, warm, and shareable — balancing nutrition credibility with humor and humanity.
  • Tell stories that make Smoothie King’s purpose and health philosophy inspiring rather than intimidating.

Community Management

  • Engage with the community through comments and messages in a timely, brand-appropriate way.
  • Respond confidently and empathetically to questions about ingredients, wellness, and nutrition (escalating as needed).
  • Support social listening to identify opportunities, trends, or potential risks in real time.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams (marketing, design, operations, training) and agency partners to support content execution and trend activations.
  • Partner with teams that own nutrition, product, and store experience to ensure content is accurate, relevant, and on-brand.

Performance & Optimization

  • Track content performance and help pull insights to inform creative improvements, timing, and trend participation.
  • Learn how to use data and platform insights to improve reach, engagement, sentiment, and community trust over time.

Responsibilities
  • Strong understanding of TikTok culture, trends, formats, and platform mechanics.
  • Passion for storytelling, writing, and creative ideation.
  • Comfortable creating small-scale video content in-house (phone-shot, quick-turn editing) while leveraging external creators for larger production needs.
  • Familiarity with creator/UGC tools (ex: Kale) is a plus.
  • Comfort engaging with audiences and representing a brand voice online.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Promote the culture, values, and mission of Smoothie King.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent experience in social media content creation.
  • One to Three (1–3+) years of experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing (internships and freelance experience welcome).
  • Experience creating short-form video content (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or similar).
  • Experience engaging with social communities or managing comments, DMs, or brand interactions is a plus.
  • Familiarity with social analytics and performance metrics (native platform insights, dashboards, or reporting tools).
  • Personal passion for health and fitness is a plus.
