Over the last 40 years University Eye Specialists, P.C. has made it our mission to provide state-of-the-art primary and specialty eye care of the highest quality in rural community settings. We are made up of an experienced and caring team devoted to full-filling that mission.

Our medical receptionist will greet patients, activate patient files, and move patients through a pre-determined schedule of appointments providing an outstanding experience for our patients

Medical Receptionists Main Duties:

  • Making and confirming appointments over the phone.
  • Checking patients in as they arrive.
  • Triaging patient concerns.
  • Prepping Charts.
  • Obtaining authorizations for exams from insurance companies.
  • Scanning documents into the electronic health record system.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/ GED Required
  • Associates or Certification in Medical Receptionist Preferred
  • High School Diploma/ GED Required
  • 2-3 Years of Customer Service Experience
  • Excellent Phone Skills (Prior Receptionist or call center experience preferred).
  • Prior Medical Experience Preferred
  • Advanced Computer Skills Required
