As a Security Officer Full Time Reception Operations in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional in a commercial real estate location, you will serve as a welcoming, visible presence while supporting access control, visitor management, and security-related communications. You will provide exceptional customer service, help to deter incidents, and respond professionally to inquiries. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and building staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Serve as the primary front desk contact, greet and direct visitors, verify credentials, issue visitor access credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor records.
  • Monitor lobby activity, access control systems, cameras, alarms, and communication equipment; report irregularities and security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, tenant requests, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
  • Maintain a professional front desk presence, provide directions and building information, and complete required logs, reports, and shift handoff communications.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
