About the Role
Are you a tech-savvy student or recent graduate looking to launch your IT career? We are looking for a motivated IT Support Technician to join our team and provide hands-on technical support across our service area in Orange and Lake Counties. This is an excellent opportunity to build practical, real-world experience in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
Help Desk & End-User Support
  • Respond to and resolve help desk tickets related to account access, password resets, and user authentication issues
  • Perform administrative installation and configuration of software applications on end-user devices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues for desktops and laptops
  • Support users via phone, email, remote desktop, and in-person visits

Hardware & Device Management
  • Set up and configure new laptops and desktop computers for incoming users
  • Diagnose and resolve printing and printer-related issues including network and local printer connectivity
  • Maintain and track IT assets using asset tagging and inventory management systems
  • Coordinate hardware repairs and warranty replacements as needed

User & License Administration
  • Assist with basic user account configuration in Active Directory and cloud-based platforms
  • Support software licensing processes including assignment, renewal tracking, and compliance basics
  • Onboard new employees by preparing workstations and provisioning access

Networking & Infrastructure Support
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues including wired, wireless, and VPN access
  • Apply foundational knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and basic network topology
  • Escalate complex network or infrastructure issues to senior IT staff with thorough documentation

Field & Travel Requirements
  • Travel to various client or office locations throughout Orange County and Lake County as required
  • Provide on-site technical support, hardware installations, and equipment deployments at multiple locations
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and strong communication skills when representing IT on-site

Requirements
Qualifications
Education
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Administration, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications ( CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Fundamentals, or similar ) are a plus but not required

Knowledge & Skills
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and topology, including LANs, WANs, routers, switches, and wireless access points
  • Basic understanding of operating systems, particularly Windows 10/11, and general computing concepts
  • Comfortable with hardware troubleshooting, peripheral setup, and hands-on device configuration
  • Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first attitude
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Additional Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel within Orange and Lake Counties
  • Ability to lift and carry IT equipment ( up to 40 lbs )
  • Authorized to work in the United States
