Opportunity (Full-Time): Senior International Relations Strategy Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Bottom Line Up Front: Hoplite Group is seeking a Senior International Relations Strategy SME to support the Directorate of Operations, J3-International (J3-I) Division at U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). This role supports strategic-level international engagements, multinational coordination, executive-level correspondence, and engagement planning supporting USSOCOM priorities and global SOF partnerships.
Location: On-site support at HQ USSOCOM, MacDill AFB, FL, with CONUS and OCONUS travel as required in support of the SOF enterprise.
Position Type: Full-Time Contract Opportunity
Availability: September 2026 / Contingent Upon Contract Award
Objective: Support USSOCOM J3-International (J3-I) efforts through development, coordination, and execution of strategic-level international engagements, executive-level communications, and engagement strategies supporting command priorities and partner nation relationships.
Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in International Security Studies.
  • Recent experience (within the last 3 years) demonstrating successful development, coordination, and execution of strategic-level engagements on a Commander's Action Group at the Combatant Command / 4-star level.
  • 1 year of recent experience demonstrating successful development, coordination, and execution of strategic-level engagements on a Commander's Action Group or as a Political Advisor at the Combatant Command (COCOM) / Theater Special Operations Command (TSOC) level.
  • 3 years of experience using analytic and communication skills to prepare staff and coordinate written products and briefings for senior leaders (General Officer, Flag Officer, or Senior Executive Service level).
  • 3 years of recent experience developing business and communication strategies intended to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Current DoW Top Secret clearance and eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
