Alta Environmental & Infrastructure (Tucson) is seeking energetic and highly motivated engineering interns to join our team in Tucson. The ideal candidate will have a technical background / education in geotechnical, civil, geological, environmental, engineering, construction or related field. Current students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. You'll get to work side-by-side with experienced, licensed professionals who are committed to personal and professional development. Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Assist in preparing technical reports
  • Ability to work on a team or independently on less complex projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Clean driving record and the ability to pass a drug test required
  • Travel to and Perform field sampling or testing
  • Collect and classify soil samples for geotechnical investigations
  • Perform Phase I Environmental Site Assessments

Preferred Competencies

  • Ability to adhere to safety standards and practices
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D
  • Organization skills
  • Results oriented and strong attention to detail

Physical Demands

Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in college or recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical, Civil, Geological Engineering or related field.

Must have a valid drivers license and be able to drive to our project sites.

Supervisory Responsibility
