Job description

We are seeking a Receiving Coordinator to become an integral part of our team! You will be the first point-of-contact for incoming shipment activities.

Schedule: 8:00am-5:00pm Mon-Fri with occasional overtime

  • Required to work a minimum of two Saturdays per year for physical inventory count (June & December)

Reports to: Inventory Control Manager

This is a union position with SMART Local 105 Sheet Metal Workers as a Material Expediter. Union benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance for employee and dependents at no cost to employee (available after union probation period is complete). Union members are not eligible to receive vacation, sick or holiday pay.

Responsibilities:

  • Unpack, verify, and record incoming merchandise or material
  • Plan for incoming shipments and create/maintain schedule
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned
  • Inventory control including being part of the team for monthly physical inventory

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years previous experience in receiving (any industry) AND Inventory Control
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Basic computer experience (Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills
