Job description

Job Overview

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator/2nd Shift is primarily responsible for export logistics, the execution of shipping services and compliance documentation activities required for in/out-bound shipping activities. This is accomplished through expediting deliveries as requested by Customer Service, monitoring scheduled shipping, and providing aid to truck drivers who come to the RDC.

A Day In The Life

   Function as a liaison between our Distribution Center and Customer Service teams utilizing email, in-person, and radio communication.
   Generate month-end reports, including the first and last ten shipping documents.
   Create inbound numbers for internal & 3rd party vendors.
   Create and update reports using Excel, Word, and Power Point, as required by DC Manager(s).
   Monitor expedite e-mail box and work with leadership to ensure shipments are made on a timely basis. 
   Schedule inbound and outbound shipments.
   Utilize and work in various vendor portals. (Lowe's Link, 4PL, Amazon, Grainger etc.)
   Attend/direct incoming truck drivers and coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments while maintaining positive customer service attitude.
   Monitor shipping reports within SAP/BlueYonder to ensure all shipments are posted daily.
   Create domestic and export shipping documentation as required.
   Work on assigned misc. projects related to warehouse processes.
   Create intercompany & customer PO's, including purchasing warehouse and office supplies.
   Provide subject matter and trouble shooting assistance related to the shipping & receiving duties.
   Flexible to work and train on other shifts.  
   Other duties within Shipping Office as assigned. 

What will help you thrive in this role?

   A minimum of 2-4 years of distribution experience in warehousing, shipping and receiving processes, procedures and systems is required.
   Able to be a team player, maintain a positive attitude and lead by example.
   Basic MS Office knowledge required. (particularly Excel) 
   Working knowledge of SAP and/or Blue Yonder is desired.
   Able to interact and communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing, within all levels of the organization.
   Capable of handling multiple tasks at once.
   Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
   Demonstrate flexibility to adjust to sudden changes in operational goals/demands and schedule. 
   Strong attention to detail and results oriented.
   Must be able to work required schedule for the job but show flexibility to cover team members on PTO/LOA.
