Shipping Clerk: Rockford, Illinois
Our customer in Rockford, Illinois, is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting a Shipping Clerk to work full-time on 1st shift. As a Shipping Clerk, you will support daily shipping operations, ensure accurate preparation of outgoing shipments, and help maintain efficient warehouse workflow. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys organization, attention to detail, and working in a fast-paced environment.
 
Responsibilities of the Shipping Clerk:
  • Process shipping for common carriers and UPS.
  • Attach labels and identify tags to ensure shipment accuracy.
  • Accurately inventory and document products being shipped.
  • Load and unload trucks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Read, interpret, and utilize a decimal conversion chart.
  • Support daily shipping operations and assist team as needed.
 
Shipping Clerk Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Must become familiar and proficient with how to attach labels or other identifying tags to ensure shipment accuracy.
  • Must become familiar and proficient with how to accurately inventory and document product being shipped.
  • Must become familiar and proficient with how to load and unload trucks in a timely manner.
  • Must become familiar and proficient with how to read, interpret, and use a decimal conversion chart.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment.
