Job Description:

Semper Valens Solutions is seeking an Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team in Ft. Belvoir, VA. This position offers onthejob training and opportunities for longterm growth. Candidates must demonstrate excellent customer service skills and possess strong computer proficiency.

This role will provide logistics support to the Research & Technology Integration (RTI) Directorate, specifically supporting the Business & Operations Facilities and Equipment Branch (FEB). This role contributes directly to the effective management, accountability, and sustainment of RTI facilities and equipment resources.

The candidate will be assigned to the Property Management section within the FEB and will be responsible for supporting government property and asset management activities in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations. Duties will include managing a small team in daily operations, assisting with the tracking, accountability, documentation, and lifecycle management of governmentowned and governmentfurnished property, as well as coordinating logistics actions that support FEB operational requirements.

The position requires close collaboration with RTI leadership, FEB personnel, and supporting organizations to ensure property and logistics processes are executed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with established standards.

Job Duties
  • Prepare Shipments: Organize and prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring that all items are packed correctly and labeled accurately.
  • Receive Shipments: Handle incoming shipments by inspecting and verifying the contents against purchase orders or packing lists, documenting any discrepancies or damages.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, track incoming and outgoing shipments, and update inventory management systems as needed.
  • Documentation: Complete necessary shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping labels.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, and other departments to coordinate shipping and receiving activities.
  • Physical Tasks: Load and unload packages, operate material handling equipment, and ensure a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements / Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Secret security clearance is required.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Government driver's license for the operation of a forklift, minivan, sedan, and/or small box truck.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with vendors, drivers, and team members.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy packages (often over 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer skills for documentation and record-keeping.
  • Documented Prior Experience with the following DoW and Army Property Management forms:
    • DD Form 250 (Material Inspection and Receiving Report)
    • Inbound vouchers
    • DD Form 1348 (Issue Release/Receipt Document)
    • DA Form 2765 (Request for Issue or TurnIn)
    • DA Form 1687 (Notice of Delegation of Authority)
    • Memorandums for Record (MFRs)
