Job Summary

The Receiving Associate is responsible for managing all incoming shipments and ensuring that deliveries are accurately unloaded, inspected, and stored in the appropriate areas of the warehouse. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will ensure that inventory is properly documented and that all incoming products meet quality standards.

Essential Functions

• Receive and unload incoming shipments from delivery trucks.

• Verify incoming shipments against packing lists and purchase orders for accuracy.

• Inspect shipments for damages, defects, or discrepancies, and report any issues.

• Organize and store products in designated areas of the warehouse.

• Ensure the receiving area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.

• Communicate effectively with drivers, and team members regarding any issues or discrepancies.

Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, shifts time are based on business needs, specific to each branch location.
  • Overtime may be required due to workload

Travel

  • Minimal.

Required Education and Experience

  • Minimum High School degree or GED equivalent.
  • Have knowledge and minimum 1-year experience with shipping and receiving processes and able to provide timely and accurate shipments and receiving.
  • Experience operating forklift equipment and pallet jacks.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Prefer 2 or more years’ experience large distribution inventory environments.
  • Knowledge or experience working with a warehouse management system.
