Job description

A leading U.S. real estate management company, unique for its focus on commercial real estate, is looking to hire a Senior Manager, Real Estate Tax to their corporate tax team. The Senior Manager, Real Estate Tax, will be responsible for all aspects of property taxes across a national portfolio of commercial real estate holdings. This position will include full coordination of corporate real estate tax appeal matters.
This role is a full-time opportunity in Paradise Valley with strong compensation packageand great benefits.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the property tax appeal process for all managed and private properties
  • Quarterly reporting - savings analysis, open appeals report, other reports as assigned
  • Manage the relationship and be the point of contact for 3rd party consultants
  • Perform property level analysis to assist with appeal decisions
  • Interactive with senior leaders to validate appeal decisions including Asset Management and Real Estate Services personnel
  • Manage property listings with 3rd party consultant based on acquisition/disposition activity
  • Review, research and present upcoming real estate tax legislation changes.
  • Participate in transaction-oriented environment and develop a working understanding of different areas of real estate taxes in order to support strategic growth initiatives.
  • Monthly real estate tax payment verification report and coordination with tenants regarding delinquent and upcoming tax bills.
  • Support the Senior Manager with various ad-hoc/research/analysis special projects.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree inAccounting, Finance, Business or Real Estate required
  • Proficiency with Excel and other MS applications
  • 5+ years of commercial real estate tax experience
  • 2+ years of experience within the commercialreal estateassessment and/or valuation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Must be team oriented and a problem solver
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external teams
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple deadlines
