EisnerAmper is seeking a manager to expand our Real Estate Tax practice. Our Real Estate Tax practice serves a wide range of clients with specific needs including real estate private equity funds, public and private REITs, as well as privately owned Real Estate held by family offices or joint ventures. What Work You Will be Responsible For:
  • Manage and oversee tax compliance engagements for complex real estate investment partnerships, REITs, and related entities.

  • Lead the preparation and review of partnership, corporate, and REIT tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

  • Coordinate the collection and analysis of information received from lower-tier partnerships, sponsors, and investment managers.

  • Manage multi-tier partnership structures involving numerous indirect investments and complex K-1 reporting requirements.

  • Review and analyze partnership agreements, investor allocations, and flow-through reporting matters.

  • Collaborate with partners, directors, senior managers, and client personnel to resolve technical tax issues and meet filing deadlines.

  • Assist with federal and multi-state tax compliance for real estate investment structures operating across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Develop a thorough understanding of client operations, investment structures, and reporting requirements.

  • Serve as a day-to-day contact for client questions and tax-related matters.

  • Mentor and support staff development while fostering a collaborative team environment.

  • Demonstrate a hands-on approach by contributing to both review and preparation responsibilities when needed.

  • Stay informed on developments impacting partnership taxation, real estate investments, and related tax compliance matters.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field.

  • CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent designation required.

  • 5+ years of public accounting tax experience, including significant partnership tax experience.

  • Experience preparing and reviewing partnership tax returns.

  • Experience working with real estate partnerships, real estate investment funds, or other flow-through investment structures.

  • Exposure to and understanding of multi-state Partnership filings

  • Strong understanding of partnership allocations, K-1 reporting, and pass-through taxation concepts.

  • Experience managing multiple engagements, deadlines, and competing priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while communicating effectively with clients and internal teams.

Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with multi-tier partnership structures and investment fund reporting.

  • Experience supporting domestic real estate private equity funds and real estate investment partnerships.

  • Some familiarity with REIT taxation and corporate tax compliance.

  • Multi-state Partnership tax compliance experience

  • Exposure to and some level of experience with nonresident state withholding and PTET regimes

  • Working knowledge of GAAP financial statements and book-to-tax adjustments.

  • Experience coordinating tax reporting across complex ownership structures involving numerous entities and investments.

  • Experience with CCH Axcess or similar tax compliance software.

  • Experience with mentoring, reviewing work, and collaborating with a team to meet deadlines and develop efficient workflow.
