Job description

  • Oversee planning, coordination, and execution of residential/multifamily and mixed-use projects
  • Support development processes from project conceptualization through completion
  • Oversee contracting and due diligence regarding zoning, title, environmental risk, and other development obstacles
  • Coordinate with consultants and municipalities, including architects and engineers, and report project progress to principals
  • Collaborate with legal, development, construction, Home and Hospitality, finance, and external consultant teams
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and propose alternative development approaches
  • Manage project entitlement processes, including zoning, permitting, regulatory compliance, design, due diligence, legal efforts, and community development actions
  • Monitor project progress, risks, issues, budgets, schedules, and quality standards; implement mitigation strategies
  • Create business-case justifications with internal business partners
  • Manage deal timelines, property standards, and budget goals
  • Project-manage deals in new real estate markets and determine local and regional zoning and licensing requirements
  • Develop and manage project plans, engage resources, monitor progress, and keep department leaders informed
  • Guide projects through conceptual, discovery, and execution stages
  • Maintain standardized reporting, filing, and project scheduling processes
  • Interface with public-sector clients, jurisdictions, owners, architects, engineers, design consultants, and stakeholders
  • Identify and implement process optimization, innovation, and sustainable practices
  • Monitor changes in zoning regulations, land-use policies, and environmental requirements
  • Complete other projects as assigned by senior leadership
Requirements
  • Strong background in real estate development, including market analysis, site selection, financial analysis, and project management
  • Understanding of real estate concepts and principles
  • Strong knowledge of real estate development principles, including market analysis, financial analysis, due diligence, entitlement processes, and project management
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Professional certifications or affiliations in real estate development, project management, or related areas are a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in real estate, urban planning, architecture, business administration, or a related field, or a combination of education and/or experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional, hands‑on real estate experience, preferably focused on multifamily, retail, and/or mixed‑use
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee the entire project lifecycle from concept through completion
