PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global aviation leader to find a skilled Fabrication Inspector who is ready to play a critical role in ensuring the safety, precision, and excellence of next-generation aircraft. Position Overview
  • Job Type: Full-Time

  • Location: Wichita, KS

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday (Must be available for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts)

  • Pay Rate: $44/hour

As an Inspector, you’ll serve as a vital gatekeeper of quality—ensuring that all fabrication and assembly processes meet strict aerospace standards. Your expertise helps guarantee that every part and system performs flawlessly in the sky.


What You’ll Do
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection manuals to verify compliance

  • Perform inspections using precision measuring tools and specialized equipment

  • Evaluate fabrication/assembly processes and accept or reject parts and assemblies accordingly

  • Ensure tools and equipment are qualified and properly maintained

  • Maintain accurate quality records and documentation

  • Write and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)

  • Maintain required certifications and complete inspection training/testing


Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of aerospace airframe assembly inspection experience

    • Fastener inspections (solid rivets, blind fasteners, lockbolts, hex-drive bolts, etc.)

  • Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills

  • Proven ability to write NCRs (tags)

  • Solid understanding of production processes and inspection procedures

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts and overtime

  • Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications and inspection stamp


Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience with Aerospace

  • 737 airframe/fuselage inspection experience

  • Advanced familiarity with SAP systems


Inspection Testing & Certification

Candidates must successfully complete written and practical testing, including:

  • Assembly & Post-Assembly Sealing

  • Electrical Bond & Ground Testing

  • Precision Measuring Tools

  • Skin Quality Inspection

Additional certification training includes:

  • NCR creation in MES

  • Fastener inspections (solid rivets, blind fasteners, lockbolts, hex-drive bolts, etc.)

  • Composite fastener inspection

Pay Details: $41.00 to $44.00 per hour
