As we continue to expand, we are seeking a driven and experienced Outside Sales Representative to accelerate revenue growth, develop new business opportunities, and strengthen relationships within our core industrial markets.

Position Summary


The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth within an assigned territory by developing new business, expanding existing accounts, and positioning the company as a trusted technical partner.


This role combines business development, consultative selling, and account management in a competitive industrial market. Success is measured by revenue growth, margin performance, pipeline health, and customer retention.



Key Responsibilities


Business Development & Territory Growth
 • Identify, target, and develop new customers within assigned territory and vertical markets
 • Execute a disciplined prospecting strategy (in-person visits, referrals, networking, digital outreach)
 • Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline aligned with revenue and margin targets
 • Analyze territory potential and create actionable account plans


Consultative Sales & Account Management
 • Conduct on-site customer visits to assess operational needs and recommend solutions
 • Deliver technical sales presentations and product demonstrations
 • Develop strong relationships with decision-makers, engineers, procurement teams, and executives
 • Position value-based solutions rather than price-driven transactions
 • Negotiate pricing, terms, and purchasing agreements within company guidelines


Quoting, CRM & Sales Execution
 • Prepare and deliver professional proposals and quotations
 • Follow up consistently on all open quotes and document outcomes in CRM (Salesforce)
 • Maintain accurate opportunity tracking, forecasting, and pipeline reporting
 • Collaborate with Sales Coordinator on proposal development, CRM data integrity, and order processing
 • Respond to website and inbound leads in a timely and professional manner


Forecasting & Market Intelligence
 • Develop rolling 30/60/90-day and quarterly sales forecasts
 • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing dynamics
 • Provide feedback to leadership regarding customer demand, product gaps, and competitive positioning


Internal Collaboration
 • Partner with service, operations, and finance teams to ensure smooth project execution
 • Assist in development of sales tools, templates, and marketing materials
 • Participate in product training and ongoing professional development



Performance Metrics
 • Revenue and gross margin growth

Qualifications


Education & Experience

 • Ability to interpret technical documentation, financial data, and contracts
