Want to be part of this? We currently have an exciting opportunity for Sr Full Stack Customer Data Developer to join our Tailored Technology team. This individual will design and deliver end-to-end scalable full-stack solutions, leading development across modern front-end (React/Next.js) and back-end (Java/Node.js) architectures with a strong focus on performance and maintainability. Collaborate cross-functionally to build data-driven systems using Snowflake and cloud technologies, while driving best practices in code quality, optimization, and agile delivery.
What you'll do
• Architect, design, and develop scalable and performant full-stack web applications, leading the development of both front-end (React/Next.js) and back-end (Java/Node.js) components.
• Back-End Development (Java): Build and optimize Java-based back-end systems, including microservices, APIs, and databases. Ensure systems are scalable, performant, and maintainable.
• Front-End Development (React/Next.js): Develop dynamic, responsive, and interactive user interfaces using React/Next.js, focusing on writing clean, modular, and maintainable code.
• Node.js Services: Design and implement efficient, event-driven, and scalable services using Node.js, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines and queries using Snowflake SQL, DBT, and GCP/AWS Dataflow.
• Build UDFs and leverage Snowpark for Advanced Data Processing.
• Familiarity with Redis, Big Query, and Vertex AI is a plus
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Code Reviews & Best Practices: Participate in peer code reviews and ensure the best practices for software development, including testing and deployment.
• Performance Optimization: Focus on optimizing performance, including database queries, and addressing scaling issues to handle increasing load and traffic efficiently.
• Agile Methodology: Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and contribute to continuous improvements in engineering practices.
What you'll bring
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 8+ years total related experience.
• Java: 8+ years of experience building scalable, enterprise-level back-end systems using Java (e.g., Spring Boot).
• React/Next.js: 4+ years of experience with React/Next.js, including state management (e.g., Redux, Context), hooks, component-based architecture, and responsive design.
• Node.js: 4+ years of experience developing server-side applications with Node.js, including experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
• Databases: Hands-on experience with relational (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) databases, including schema design, query optimization, and transactions.
• 2+ year's experience in leveraging Snowflake for scalable data warehousing, including writing complex SQL queries, developing UDFs, and building data pipelines using Snowpark and DBT.
• Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• API Design: Expertise in designing and consuming RESTful APIs, working with third-party APIs, and ensuring secure and efficient data flow across services.
• Unit Testing: Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mocha, PyTest) and a strong focus on test-driven development (TDD) for both back-end and front-end code.
• Version Control: Proficiency in Git, including branching, pull requests, and managing large codebases.
• Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
• Problem-Solving & Leadership: Strong analytical skills with a passion for solving technical problems.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

The starting salary for this position is $133,494 - $150,000. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications. Over time, and subject to performance, tenure, and evolving responsibilities, total compensation for this role may grow to as much as $178,000. Other compensation may include a 10% Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) bonus paid out according to policy. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands
• Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
• Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily
• Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
• Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, working from our corporate office in Houston, TX on Tuesday through Thursday and remotely on Monday and Friday.
