WHAT YOU WILL DO


The Renovation Specialist works on all assigned tasks and perform work to code and as per BRC standards. Assigned tasks include, but are not limited to, drywall, painting, flooring, plumbing, electrical installation/repair, and HVAC.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in the installation of drywall, molding, flooring, appliances, tile and cabinetry depending on the local codes and job specifications.
  • Assists in the installation of electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling systems for renovated apartments.
  • Operates devices that are used to apply concrete, grout, cement, plaster, paint etc. to buildings.
  • Cleaning and disposing of materials.
  • Transporting, loading and unloading different materials to the places where they are required to go.
  • Carrying out the repair of wrecked structures by using tools both to build and deconstruct.
  • Follows all safety regulations and standard operating procedures of working.
  • Communicates progress on a regular basis with the Renovation Manager, Project Supervisor and Regional Property Manager.
  • Ensures a safe working environment through effective safety awareness and safety inspections.
  • Ensures that we are complying with all federal, state and local laws pertaining to rehab/renovation.
  • Ensures that all workersโ€™ compensation claims are reported and the proper paperwork is completed.
  • Ensures that areas under construction are kept clean and orderly with minimal disruption to the residents.
  • Strong customer service
  • Maintain professional appearance at all times
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school degree, diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
  • 3-5 years of directly related experience in the industry.

COMPUTER & EQUIPMENT SKILLS:

  • Microsoft Office
