Job description


TITLE: Procurement Manager

POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

DEPARTMENT: Procurement

POSITION REPORT TO: Director of Procurement

SUMMARY: The Procurement Buyer is responsible for sourcing raw materials and components that go into the products sold but Cuisine Solutions. You will work with suppliers to negotiate prices, terms, and conditions of sale. You will also be involved in quality control or other aspects of product development.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

*Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years' experience in procurement in the protein industry (Beef, chicken, pork or specialty meat) preferred, not required.

*Strong negotiation skills required

*Strong supply chain management experience necessary with an emphasis on inventory management in a related industry.

*Organization and time management skills.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Identifying the organizations purchasing needs

*Researching, selecting and purchasing quality products and materials

*Building relationships with suppliers and negotiating with them for the best price, quantities and delivery timescales

*Processing requisitions and updating management on the status of orders

*Updating inventory and managing stock levels

*Arranging transport of goods and tracking orders to ensure timely delivery

*Understanding the target market and analyzing trends in order to make informed buying decisions

*Coordinating with inventory team, management, and stockroom

*Monitoring the stock quality and escalating any discrepancies to suppliers and management

*Supplier relationship management
