BASIC FUNCTIONS

The Infrastructure Engineer supports and maintains the organization’s network, server, and cloud environments to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient operations. The role provides Tier I–III technical support, manages core infrastructure services, monitors performance, and implements updates and improvements. This position also supports M365, Azure, AWS, contributes to documentation, and assists with projects and cross‑departmental needs as assigned. This individual has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned duties.


SPECIFIC DUTIES

  • Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems
  • Make recommendations for future upgrades
  • Maintain network and system security
  • Provide Tier I-III support in troubleshooting, analyzing and isolating issues
  • Monitor networks to ensure security
  • Evaluate system’s performance
  • Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security
  • Ensure network connectivity throughout the company’s LAN/WAN infrastructure is efficient
  • Maintain network servers such as file servers, Radius, DNS, DHCP and VPN gateways
  • Administer servers, laptop and desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, software deployment, security updates and patches
  • Ensure design of system allows all components to work properly together
  • Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL, Terminal servers and other systems as required.
  • Administer and maintain M365, Azure and AWS environments
  • Manage additional projects/ tasks as assigned by the Infrastructure Manager
  • Contribute to documentation, SOPs, and internal knowledge resources
  • Perform other necessary ad-hoc duties related to Contracts and support other Departments on special projects.

STANDARD REQUIREMENTS

Comply with all requirements of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Standard ISO9001 and ISO27001, NIST 800-171, CMMC – Cyber Security and Informational Data Security Requirements. Aerospace Management System Standards AS9100, AS9120, IDEA-QMS-9090, ASA-100 and supporting construct standards AS6081, IDEA-STD-1010, AC7402-CAAP, CCAP-101, FAA AC00-56, ANSI/ESD S20.20. All employees shall commit and comply with the requirements of AS5553 for Counterfeit Electrical, Electronic and Electromechanical (EEE) Parts – Avoidance, Detection, Mitigation and Disposition practices.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCY

  • BS in Computer Sciences, Technology, or relevant 4+ years of experience
  • Experience with Identity Management in Microsoft Entra ID
  • Specific experience with Microsoft Operating Systems 2016+, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft SQL Server 2012+
  • Experience with Fortinet Firewall, Meraki Switches and Access Points
  • Experience with Nutanix
  • Experience with Azure GCC High and AWS GovCloud is preferred
  • Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc.) is preferred
