Penguin Random House is the world's largest book publisher and the industry leader in supply chain.
The Westminster Operations Center for Penguin Random House is seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our growing team.
The Westminster facility sits on 1.5 million square feet and ships over 150 million books per year. We are heavily automated with over 12 miles of conveyor, a Goods to Person system, a Tilt Tray Sorter and 100 pieces of powered industrial equipment.
We are seeking an individual's who excel in fast paced environments and can adapt to the ever-changing needs of the business.
Vital Tasks
  • Adhering, maintaining and promoting the safety polices of the company
  • Perform all maintenance duties such as work orders, preventative maintenance and other projects assigned via the CMMS system
  • Basic understanding of conveyor management system and other key equipment systems for troubleshooting. PLC knowledge is desired but not required
  • Facilities maintenance (Plumbing, Fire System, HVAC, etc.)
  • Desire to grow through training and certification programs
  • All other duties assigned

Prior experience working in facility maintenance is desired but not required. Proven skills relating to electrical and/or mechanical trades are helpful. Additional experience with other crafts such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry and welding will contribute to a well-rounded candidate.
To qualify for this position, you must be at least 18 years of age, have basic PC skills and physically capable of performing heavy lifting tasks.
We are seeking candidates interested in working our 2nd shift: Monday-Friday, 03:00pm-11:00pm
The salary range for this position is dependent on candidate experience, with a starting point from $41,000 to $64,000 ($20-31 per hour) and opportunities to increase with further experience and proven skillsets. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to company results.
