Job description

Be the machinist behind high‑performance blowers, pumps, and boosters

At Ingersoll Rand, our products power critical operations in life sciences, food & beverage, clean energy, infrastructure, and industrial manufacturing. As a Rotating Equipment CNC Machinist, you’ll turn designs into precision parts and assemblies that keep these systems moving.

Why this role matters
  • Craft precision components on CNC lathes and mills to exact tolerances.
  • Support production by maintaining consistent, documented processes and continuous improvement.
  • Help assemble and rebuild equipment that operates in demanding environments.
Your impact (key responsibilities)
  • Calculate dimensions/tolerances with arithmetic and algebra; verify with micrometers and calipers.
  • Create and refine Standard Work sheets to lock in quality and repeatability.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate machine tools (lathes, milling machines, etc.); select and secure tools, fixtures, and materials.
  • Apply the 5 Why Process; collaborate with engineering and supervisors for technical support.
  • Assemble/align components using Standard Work and engineering docs; verify clearances, lubrication, and cooling.
  • Maintain equipment effectiveness by operating, reworking damaged parts, reading Bills of Material, and cleaning/lubricating machines.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred
  • 2+ years in assembly and/or CNC machining.
  • Ability to read blueprints with GD&T.
  • Capable of determining and entering offsets using basic mathematics.
  • Regularly able to walk/stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands/arms; and talk/hear.
Core strengths
  • Mechanical systems and tooling knowledge.
  • Production and processing know‑how, including quality and cost considerations.
  • Math skills for precision work.
  • Operation monitoring; operation and control.
  • Quality control analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Routine equipment maintenance.
Schedule and compensation
  • 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM; overtime and weekend work as needed.
  • Pay up to $20.68/hr with a guaranteed increase after 3 months.
  • Perfect attendance bonus: up to 2 extra days off and $1000.00.
Work location
  • Onsite; fully site based.
