Job description

In the heart of New York City is Ramaz - a Modern Orthodox Day School with a rich history of Jewish education, academic distinction, and nurturing of individual abilities and aspirations. The school, now in its 85th year, has a reputation for excellence both locally and internationally. We invite you to visit the website.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Director of Security ensuring the safety and security of the school in every respect; ensuring that students are properly safe.
  • Protect property, students, faculties, staff and visitors.
  • Ensure the environment is safe and secure.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras to watch out for any disruption or unlawful activities.
  • Provide detailed reports on daily activities or any incidents that may have occurred to the Director of Security.
  • Use provided communication devices as two-way radios in a clear and concise manner.
  • Monitor safety and security situations in the areas surrounding the Ramaz buildings.

Other tasks may be assigned from time to time according to the needs of the school, possibly in any of the Ramaz facilities or at any Ramaz program.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  •        Security Guard Licensed
  •        NYS Certified Licensed
  •         Minimum 2 years’ experience in security

Salary: $21/hour
