Job description

As a Foreperson for RAM Construction Services, you will assist in the revitalization and construction of our surrounding areas. A Foreperson will perform a variety of tasks that aid in both the completion and success of a project and assistance of team members. To perform this position sufficiently, the employee must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. The descriptions below are representative of, but not limited to, the duties and details of this position.

  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Coordinating work efforts in order to ensure top safety and quality of projects.
    • Responsible for building positive relationships with contractors, inspectors and fellow subcontractors.
    • Ensuring the project has adequate crew members and resources.
    • Able to read and understand plans and specifications for a project, as well as communicate this information to others.
    • Reporting progress and other required information to the Superintendent.
    • Lifting objects or materials weighing 60+ pounds and using hand tools and small power tools.
    • Performing other relevant duties as assigned and assisting crew members in their performance.
  • EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
    • This position requires a minimum education level of High School Diploma or GED equivalent and working knowledge of e-mailing and computers.
    • Prior experience with concrete and as a construction foreperson required.
    • Employee is required to have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation- valid CDL A is a plus.

TRAVEL: Travel is required for this position. The employee must be willing to travel for up to 4 weeks at a time and work any/all shifts. RAM will compensate a per diem for travel and overnight stay if applicable.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: As a Foreperson for RAM, the employee will be subject to various work environments. Work environments may include but are not limited to the following: seasonal temperatures, high spaces, small spaces, loud and frequent noises, standing/walking for up to 12 hours a day, indoor/outdoor settings, areas close to traffic.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will supervise crew members. Anyone with supervisory responsibilities is expected to supervise in a professional and positive manner.
