Job description

Rail Loading Sr. Specialist

We are a fast-growing startup organization seeking a full-time Rail Loading Sr. Specialist to join our Vehicle Processing Center operations team to direct and monitor the loading of vehicles onto railcars. Ensure all rail loading operations are performed according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR), the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and Hyundai Glovis policies, procedures, and requirements. The position is onsite, working Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm with one hour lunch.

Reports To: Quality Control Manager

Responsibilities for a Rail Loading Sr. Specialist:

  • Ensure all required safety policies and procedures are in place and are followed 100% of the time.
  • Ensure daily functions and expectations are communicated to all Team Members.
  • Ensure all supplies, fuel, tools, and equipment are available and in good working order.
  • Maintain records including but not limited to: training, attendance, inventory, and audits.
  • Ensure documentation is accurate to ensure correct load assignments.
  • Ensure all Team Members are properly trained and have proper certifications to perform the job.
  • Maintain reporting documentation for payroll, disciplinary actions, coaching, production, accidents, labeling as needed.
  • Maintain 5S standards in the yard and offices where assigned.
  • Participates in audits to ensure proper safety and quality standards are achieved.
  • Be willing to work in adverse weather conditions as safety allows.
  • Ensure PPE is worn and team members perform duties as assigned with safety and hazard awareness as a priority.
  • Obey all OSHA, FRA, AAR, Hyundai Glovis transportation guidelines and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements for a Rail Loading Sr. Specialist:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehousing, logistics, operations, etc.
  • Automotive operations experience preferred.
  • Ability to interpret and follow instructions and apply as instructed.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, good driving record, good interpersonal skills.


This role routinely uses standard office equipment, including a laptop computer and cell phone. The employee is generally required to spend long periods of time sitting, typing, and working at a computer. May require the ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds and transport items. The estimated base salary range for the Rail Loading Sr. Specialist is $ $69,000-$73,000. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.
