Radar Engineer, Mid/Senior Level

Overview

Responsibilities

Use technical expertise on Radar to develop concepts and designs, evaluate feasibility of new technologies, as well as troubleshoot and resolve design, development, and operations issues.

Participate and represent the customer in various Government and contractor meetings and attend contractor programmatic and technical reviews (e.g., PMR, PDR, CDR, and other meetings) to provide technical and programmatic-based system recommendations and risk assessments.

Provide proactive support to the Government customer and tasks.

Develop productive relationships with Prime/Subcontractor counterparts, functional counterparts, and other subject matter experts.

Author, review, and coordinate documents and data to aid the Government in decision-making.

Frequent interaction with government, SETA, and external stakeholders.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications & Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent from an accredited institution.

10+ years of relevant experience.

Functional knowledge of weapon, radar, and network systems and subsystems.

Proficient in and working knowledge of Linux, C++, and Python.

Must be a self-starter, team player with a desire to work with a team of engineers, integrators, analysts and others in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Must be detail-oriented, goal-oriented and mission-focused.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

U.S. Citizenship with Active Secret Security clearance required.


Physical Description

Employees in these positions will function in a general office/cubicle setting environment, laboratory/testing setting using standard office equipment and various electronic testing equipment, including a computer, telephone, printers, video equipment, computer software and testing equipment. Will interact in a general office setting environment with various personnel; participate in meetings and contribute to team success; deliver timely results and produce reports; receive and communicate information; may include telework. May function in a laboratory/testing environment using electronic testing equipment, computer software and complex systems. May move and test equipment of various weights. Laboratory environment may require use of protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to safety glasses and protective hearing and footwear. May be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization due to business demands; travel occasionally for assigned work.
