Job Summary
As a Resident Assistant (RA) at American House, you will play a critical role supporting seniors, enriching their lives, and helping them live their best life. The meaningful relationships you develop will help you support the daily care needs of the residents and support community activities while creating a safe, warm and welcoming environment.-
What You'll Do
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and report observations to leadership.
• Encourage resident engagement in activities, programs, and social events.
• Follow individualized care plans to ensure high-quality, person-centered care.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in resident apartments and common areas.
• Support residents with meals, hydration, and light housekeeping.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with residents, families, and team members.
• Support new resident orientation and help them feel welcome in the community.
Qualifications
• A passion for serving seniors and a compassionate, patient approach.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Previous caregiving, senior living, or healthcare experience required.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25-50 lbs as needed for resident care.
