Job Summary

The Rental Sales Agent completes rental and return transactions. Integral to this role is the relocation of vehicles around the local area, along with cleaning and ensuring vehicles meet renting standards. The Rental Sales Agent performs duties and provides services which reflect the Company’s values. Essential duties and responsibilities, shown below, will vary accordingly based on the location, team size, brand and any specialized or specific requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· To determine customers’ needs and process reservations and booking requests according to the procedures outlined.

· To quote accurately all consumer required information and associated costs.

· Complete rental transactions and agreements for customers following established guidelines and procedures.

· Obtains required authorizations, signatures, imprints, addendum, confirmation numbers, and perform Preferred / Fastbreak, VIP, or other special services as assigned.

· Complete qualification procedures prior to renting vehicles.

· Sales programs and services to customers in an effort to maximize sales opportunities and meet sales goals set by management.

· Reviews completed contracts with customers to verify accuracy of information and explains rates and charges.

· Completes transaction procedures for returned vehicles and verifies accuracy of closing calculations.

· Audits closed contracts to ensure accurate charges for refueling, applicable taxes, etc.

· Solves problems raised by customers using sound judgement within applied empowerment guidelines and company policy.

· Complete daily / weekly branch reports.

· Ensure all vehicles are serviced regularly, and COF’s, RUC’s and rego’s are up to date and entered into Wizard in a timely manner.

· Clean exterior and interior of vehicles according to prescribed quality standards.

· Turn in any articles left by customers to designated lost and found area.

· Adhere to Company Quality Assurance and Uniform Guidelines.

Qualifications Required Experience

Level 3 NCEA or higher.

Previous Customer Service and Sales experience.

Current full NZ Drivers License with a willingness to obtain class 2 and 4 (if not already gained)
