The Senior Revenue Management Data Scientist will transform pricing, quotation, customer, product, and market data into actionable intelligence that improves profitability, quote quality, sales effectiveness, and pricing discipline. This role combines advanced analytics, statistical modeling, machine learning, business acumen, and commercial pricing expertise to support data-driven decision-making across pricing, quotations, sales, finance, product management, and pre-sales teams. In addition to advanced pricing analytics and data science, this role will act as a technical innovator for the Pricing & Quotations organization by developing automation solutions, internal applications, and AI-enabled tools that improve productivity, decision quality, and business scalability.

This position is ideal for someone who can operate beyond dashboards - someone who can identify patterns in complex data, build predictive and prescriptive models, recommend pricing actions, and translate technical insights into practical business decisions. The role will help evolve the pricing function from reactive analysis and transactional support toward proactive revenue intelligence, margin optimization, and strategic deal enablement.

The work model for the role is: hybrid in New Berlin, WI.

This role is contributing to the Motion Drive Products business line in the USA. Main stakeholders are Pricing, Revenue Management, Product Management, and Sales.

Your role and responsibilities:

  • Developing data-driven pricing models to identify margin improvement opportunities, price leakage, discounting trends, and customer/product profitability.
  • Partnering with quotation, sales, application engineering, and commercial operations teams to improve quote strategy and pre-sales decision quality.
  • Developing automated analytics workflows and reusable data models that reduce manual analysis and improve speed-to-insight.
  • Monitoring competitor pricing, market trends, customer buying behavior, inflationary impacts, and industry benchmarks.
  • Presenting complex analytical findings in a clear, practical, and commercially relevant way to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve pricing governance, quote approval processes, discounting discipline, and revenue management practices.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives that reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and increase pricing team scalability.
  • Developing insights that help the organization understand competitive positioning, market sensitivity, and product/category-level pricing opportunities.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 8+ years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, pricing analytics, revenue management, commercial analytics, financial analytics, or a similar analytical role.
  • Experience analyzing large, complex, and imperfect business datasets.
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, forecasting, segmentation, and optimization techniques.
  • Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations for business stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence sales, finance, product, operations, and leadership audiences.
  • High curiosity, strong problem-solving ability, and comfort working in ambiguous commercial environments.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in pricing and quotations strategies, metrics, KPIs and other related projects and tools.
  • Experience owning, building, and improving data analytics platform /product.
