Business Analyst - Billing - Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Pay range: 66,400/yr+

Responsibilities
  • Work cross regionally with BSS team and regional analysts to support billing initiatives for Enterprise accounts.
  • Manipulate, analyze, and interpret large amounts of data using Access, Excel, SQL.
  • Automate processes and reports.
  • Recognize inefficiencies in processes related to Enterprise accounts (operational or technical)
  • Develop solutions to address billing issues.
  • Pull ad hoc reports from various billing systems.
  • Perform data validation to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Data mining for advanced analysis of data presented in reports for management.
  • Recommend solutions to decrease bad debt and increase cash for receivables for laboratory tests.
  • Provide feedback to Senior Management regarding contractual issues impacting Revenue Services
  • Collaborate with other business units and departments on analysis projects.
  • Responsible for helping meet company and regional expectations/SLA targets.
  • Analyze and interpret reports on metrics associated with goals and objectives.
  • Pursue continual improvement of quality and efficiencies in functional areas
  • Responsible for developing strategies to promote employee engagement and improve employee satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present project status, various metrics, data/business analysis to Quest partners and Optum senior management.
  • Forecasting financial impacts for Quest partners related to Enterprise accounts.
  • Provide input to internal and external stakeholders to drive effective business plan and sales strategy development.
  • Conduct deep dive program reviews with relevant internal and/or external stakeholders to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Utilize relevant systems and tools to identify and/or test opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Review and assign projects/initiatives as well as participate in Kaizens and process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide mentoring to other Analysts.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of related experience in revenue cycle management with some leadership experience in a healthcare environment.
  • 4+ years of business or data analysis experience
  • Experience in creating business requirement documents, project plans, and presentations.
  • Adaptable and flexible with the ability to accept, create and manage change.
  • Proven ability to positively influence staff to drive results in achieving goals and objectives.
  • Previous experience implementing cross-functional initiatives.
  • 20% travel requirement as needed and flexible work schedule to support business needs.
  • Advanced Excel and Access skills with programming knowledge using SQL.
  • Must reside near a Quest Diagnostics Laboratory site or Norristown, PA
  • Must be available to start workday by 8:00am EST.
  • Able to work Overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in client/Enterprise account billing
  • Experience with insurance health plans or HMOs
  • Ability to work to a consistent high standard under pressure.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to ever changing priorities.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrate problem-solving and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to multitask on multiple small to complex projects / tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to undertake additional responsibilities as required.
  • Self-motivated, able to work in a team, and demonstrates the ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate complex issues to all levels of management.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM major or higher education
  • Experience with high volume revenue cycle operations
  • Knowledge of Quest systems like BFE, QBS systems, Order to cash business process is a plus.
  • Certifications in Project Management, Six Sigma principles.

  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separate from other living areas and provides information privacy.
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Must live in a location where Quest Diagnostics approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet connection.
