Rogers Group is currently seeking anย Off-Roadย Haul Truck Driverย inย the Roanoke, VA area for our Virginia SMA operations. The successful candidate for this position will have familiarity and experience operating articulated and/or rigid frame haul trucks and will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

Job Details:

  • Wages startingย at $21.00/hr. for entry level candidates. Some positions require no experience and Rogers Group will train.ย 
  • Higher pay for skilled operators of heavy equipment with quarry and mining experience. Overtime available and extensive medical and retirement benefits.Operate haul trucks to remove overburden and stripping material for quarry production.
  • Overtime available.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily pre-op and post-op inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
  • Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
  • Effective communication skills applicable to position.
  • Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
  • Properly follow all company policies and MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record and Valid Driver's License required

Qualifications:

  • Dedication to safe work practices.
  • Previous experience operating both rigid frame haul trucks and/or articulating haul trucks preferred.
  • Ability to perform general laborer and clean-up duties on the ground and in the plant as needed/directed.
  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.
