Job description

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

The Commercial Operations Manager at the Clutches & Brakes Division (C&B) leads business growth, pricing strategy, and operational excellence by managing commercial activities, driving process improvements, supporting sales and customer needs, overseeing data analytics, and coordinating cross-functional teams while embodying leadership competencies such as accountability, resilience, and results-driven action within C&B, reporting to the Director of Commercial Operations.

Key Responsibilities

Process Improvement & Operational Efficiency

  • Lead process enhancements across order management, inventory control, and dashboard metrics.

  • Drive technology adoption in sales processes and root cause analytics.

  • Translate business inquiries into actionable analytics requirements.

  • Champion RBS/Kaizen and 80/20 simplification initiatives to improve operational efficiency.

Commercial Coordination & Global Operations

  • Oversee commercial activities including pricing, quotations, terms of sale, delivery, and lead times for customers

  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies for contracts and commercial transactions.

  • Safeguard documentation processes for IP, prototypes, cost estimates, and contracts.

  • Facilitate technology transfer across global manufacturing and technical teams.

  • Collaborate across product groups and regions to support global operations.

  • Represent the site in strategic discussions with the global Matrixed Sales Organization, aligning business development priorities with broader sales initiatives.

Sales, Pricing, Forecasting & Customer Support

  • Implement pricing strategies, support deviation reviews, and monitor profitability/margin trends.

  • Lead quotation activities and coordinate with Product Managers to drive growth and profitability.

  • Analyze customer needs and deliver tailored product and service solutions.

  • Conduct market research and apply 80/20 methodology to pricing and product performance.

  • Provide real-time, actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Monitor market trends and advise on pricing/margin impacts.

  • Resolve escalated issues related to data integrity and trade pricing.

  • Expand top account opportunities by replicating successful strategies and leveraging differentiated offerings.

  • Collaborate with RRX sales team on growth strategies, account targeting, and customer engagement.

  • Lead customer engagement initiatives including value proposition presentations, site visits, and strategic planning sessions.

  • Develop and maintain sales forecasts in collaboration with cross-functional teams to support demand planning and strategic decision-making.

Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Maintain and enhance dashboards and reports using tools like Powerhouse, BI, SAP, and SFDC.

  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in daily/monthly reporting.

  • Apply 80/20 methodology to sales, product, and pricing analytics.

  • Oversee strategic database releases and validate assumptions with Strategic Marketing.

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of sales channels and performance.

  • Support CRM processes including funnel management and quoting.

  • Integrate forecasting models into reporting tools to support proactive decision-making.

Operational & Team Coordination

  • Provide daily support to CSR, Sales, Inside Sales, Operations, PM, and BDM teams.

  • Manage customer/distributor communications and documentation (contracts, NDAs, warranties/RMAs).

  • Coordinate strategic planning with Engineering and Product Management.

  • Organize onboarding and training for new team members and interns.

  • Support lead funnel, quote generation, and performance reviews.

  • Enforce sales policies and assist with escalations.

ERP & Product Line Simplification Support

  • Support supply chain optimization and footprint reduction activities, as well as product line simplification projects, across various stakeholder.

  • Oversee customer records and ERP code mapping.

  • Track savings and margin expansion, focusing on 80/20 cost drivers.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, or related field.

  • Strong organization, collaboration, and communication skills.

  • Ability to structure and quickly synthesize large volumes of data to develop actionable insights.

  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with SAP, BI tools, or CRM platforms.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to a fast-paced team environment.

  • Interest in applying 80/20 thinking to business challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on multi-functional teams.

This role requires approximately 30% travel, including attendance at industry trade shows, and visits to customer sites.

The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for this position. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, the geographic market of that location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education and internal peer compensation comparisons among other potential factors.
