A leading quantitative trading firm in New York is seeking a Quantitative Trader to join a highly collaborative trading organization built around mathematical reasoning, technology, and proprietary research.

The firm's traders work in teams to identify and trade pricing inefficiencies, develop proprietary models, manage risk, investigate new products, and explore new business opportunities. Technology is central to the firm's approach, with traders and engineers working closely together on complex real-world problems.

Job Details

We are seeking a highly quantitative problem solver to join a collaborative trading team in New York. This position focuses on identifying pricing inefficiencies, developing quantitative models, executing trading strategies, managing risk, and researching new trading opportunities.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify and trade pricing inefficiencies across financial markets
  • Develop and refine proprietary quantitative trading models
  • Analyze market behavior and translate findings into practical trading decisions
  • Manage trading risk and evaluate strategy performance
  • Investigate new financial products and potential trading opportunities
  • Collaborate with traders, researchers, and engineers on quantitative problems
  • Use technology and data to improve trading strategies and decision-making
  • Take on increasing trading responsibility as expertise develops
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Exceptional quantitative and mathematical reasoning ability
  • Strong practical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively on complex problems
  • Interest in applying quantitative reasoning to real-world decision-making
  • Programming comfort in a language of choice is beneficial but not required
  • Prior finance or economics knowledge is not required
  • Specific programming-language experience is not required
