Job Description

The ideal candidate for an Associate Product Manager - Pricing  would be able to do the following:

Product Management Support

  • Support the Senior Product Manager team across assigned halo categories throughout the product line life cycle, from strategic planning through tactical execution.
  • Assist in maintaining product roadmaps and in gathering the voice of the customer — organizing dealer, consultant, and end-user feedback into usable insight.
  • Build and maintain competitive comparisons, product matrices, and specification data that support product differentiation and business-case development.
  • Develop into a product expert on assigned categories — supporting sales force and distribution network training, and participating in customer-facing sales support alongside a Senior Product Manager.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and proactively share findings with the product management and sales organizations.

Pricing Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key resource within Alto-Shaam’s ERP environment (Oracle) for product pricing data — supporting list pricing setup, pricing structures, and discount management, and helping ensure pricing records remain accurate, complete, and current.
  • Partner with the Director of Pricing & Product Management to help build and maintain the Pricing Roadmap, contributing the analysis that shapes forward-looking pricing strategy.
  • Help identify gaps in our pricing relative to the competitive set, along with sources of margin leakage, and bring forward recommendations to close them.

Analytics, Tools & AI

  • Use Alto-Shaam’s approved AI tools to accelerate competitive research, data summarization, and documentation; build and share repeatable prompts and workflows so the wider team benefits.
  • Identify and propose automation opportunities within pricing operations, and help set the standard for responsible, effective AI use across Product Management.
Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, economics, engineering, supply chain, or a related field.
  • 0–3 years of professional experience in product management, pricing, finance, analytics, marketing, or sales support. Relevant internship and co-op experience will be considered.
  • Working proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; comfort learning ERP and quoting platforms (Oracle and AutoQuotes preferred).

Skills & Attributes

  • Quantitative aptitude. Genuinely enjoys numbers, math, and working through a problem to a defensible answer.
  • Attention to detail. Treats data accuracy as a personal standard; builds checks into their own work.
  • Curiosity and drive. A self-starter who asks why, teaches themselves what they need, and moves work forward with limited direction.
  • Presence and communication. Confident and credible in front of sales teams and senior leadership; explains analysis in plain, decision-ready language.
  • Appetite for AI. Actively interested in learning and applying AI tools such as Claude to everyday analytical, research, and communication work — with sound judgment about where they help and where they do not.
