Job description

The Quality Manager leads the plant’s quality function, ensuring products and processes meet customer, regulatory, and internal standards. This role owns the quality management system, drives continuous improvement, resolves quality issues at the root cause, and partners across functions to improve performance and align quality priorities with plant and enterprise objectives.

  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Lead plant-level Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) strategies and systems.
  • Lead Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) activities including PPAP, PFMEA, and control plans.
  • Partner with production on SPC and process compliance.
  • Ensure strong customer responsiveness through timely complaint resolution and corrective actions.
  • Ensure delivered products meet Marvin’s quality expectations.
  • Analyze quality data and drive targeted corrective actions.
  • Reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and product reorder rates.
  • Partner with R&D and Manufacturing to improve product performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Standardize and promote best practices across the organization to improve consistency, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Partner with enterprise initiatives across Marvin locations.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to improve product and process quality.
  • Train, coach, and develop team members on quality standards, procedures, problem solving, and best practices.
  • Ensure documentation and records are accurate and compliant.
  • Provide leadership and direction to quality team members; reinforce company values, safety standards, and 5S.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field.
  • Master’s degree and operations experience preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive quality leadership in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of ISO, TS, IATF, or Baldrige standards.
  • Experience with root cause tools (5 Whys, Fishbone).
  • Proven ability to lead audits and corrective actions.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and SPC.
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement capability using Lean, Six Sigma, and DOE.
  • Strong initiative and self-direction.
  • Organizational skills and experience managing budgets.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • High professionalism and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong project management and follow-up skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI).
