The Sr. Manager, Finance Operations (Specialty Materials) is responsible for partnering closely with Operations leadership to provide financial leadership across multiple manufacturing locations within ATI's Specialty Materials business. Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, this position is accountable for driving financial processes using financial metrics, capital investment analysis, productivity analysis, manufacturing cost analysis, and economic evaluations.
This role partners with operational leaders to promote collaboration across manufacturing locations while maintaining a culture of proactive financial compliance and accountability. The Sr. Manager will ensure timely and accurate forecasting and financial reporting, while adhering to ATI's internal control requirements.
Additionally, this position will continuously evaluate financial systems, processes, and procedures to ensure the organization operates as efficiently and effectively as possible while remaining aligned with company objectives. The Sr. Manager will perform detailed financial analyses to identify cost savings opportunities, communicate real-time business trends, and lead the development of a high-performing team of finance professionals.
Essential Functions
  • Business partner with Operations & Supply Chain teams, translating financial results into insightful, actionable business intelligence to drive better results.
  • Drive working capital improvements with a deep focus on inventory management.
  • Build and promote a data-driven culture by leveraging digital platforms, financial analysis, and cost management.
  • Assess and improve manufacturing value streams across multiple operating locations.
  • Support internal and external audit requests while ensuring compliance with company policies and internal controls.
  • Drive productivity initiatives and cost savings across manufacturing operations.
  • Analyze and provide recommendations related to capital variances, standard cost updates, inventory revaluations, profit in inventory, and manufacturing cost performance.
  • Establish and maintain a strong process improvement management operating system (MOS) and continuous improvement culture.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Plant Analysts, including performance management, talent development, and sharing of best practices.
  • Manage the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
  • Prepare variance analyses and participate in financial reviews for executive leadership, as needed.
  • Develop financial models to evaluate proposed business strategies and operational initiatives.
  • Drive sustainable improvements in manufacturing throughput and inventory performance through meaningful financial analysis.

Education Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

Experience Required
  • 7+ years of progressive finance experience
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing and developing teams
  • 5+ years of Supply Chain Finance experience
