Job description

Overview
Reporting to the Quality Director, the Aircraft Quality Manager oversees and monitors the Quality Control Program to ensure adherence to established quality standards.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for managing the aircraft Quality Control Program at assigned location/project.
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in the inspection/testing of aircraft, equipment, parts, supplies and materials.
  • Provides technical assistance, interprets technical data, and evaluates maintenance actions to ensure safe and reliable aircraft, components, and equipment is provided in accordance with current technical publications and directives.
  • Reviews technical publications, directives, reports, and subsequent revisions and confers with quality assurance, maintenance, management, and engineering personnel to solve work-related problems.
  • Inspects and reviews maintenance source documents, inspection records, and other related forms used in aircraft, vehicle, and equipment maintenance to ensure forms and records are current, and comply with established procedures, Army directives, and contract specifications.
  • Implements and enforces quality policies and procedures that meet the requirements of ISO 9001/AS9110, Ground Operating Procedures, and Repair Station Quality Control Manual
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Education:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalency certification

Experience:
  • Fifteen years' experience in rotary or fixed wing aircraft maintenance is required
  • At least five years' experience in rotary or fixed wing aircraft quality inspection under TAMMS required
  • At least five years' experience managing personnel in a leadership role where decision making, problem solving, and analytical thinking is required
  • FAA A&P required; IA preferred

Any combination of education/experience may be substituted for job requirements at the recommendation of the hiring manager and approval of the COO or higher.
