Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

 Quality Machine in Paulina is now hiring a Manual Machinist.  We are seeking an experienced machinist with hands-on experience operating manual machines with previous job experience in a job-shop environment. We are a locally owned company willing to offer competitive pay based on experience.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

·          Produce standalone machine work on a manual machine, including lathes, mills, drill press, boring mill(horizontal and vertical)

·          Knowledgeable in interpreting blueprints, fundamentals of mechanics, fabrication, and repairs of rotating equipment

·          Maintain equipment and follow safety procedures

·          Interpret and use precision measuring equipment/instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, and depth gauges

·          Operate manual lathes to produce precision parts

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Prior experience as a manual machinist

·         Experience with tight tolerance work, such as bearing housing and shaft work

·         Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

·         Knowledge of tooling requirements for various machining tasks

·         Reliability and excellent work ethic
