Mechanical Quality Control Inspector | Clearfield, UT


Nexeo Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical QA/QC Inspector to join a leading industrial manufacturing facility in Clearfield, Utah. This role focuses on inspecting electrical systems, components, and assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements. The ideal candidate has strong experience in electrical fabrication, inspection, and quality control and takes pride in accuracy, safety, and thorough documentation.


Responsibilities

  • Inspect electrical systems, including wiring, conduit, terminations, control panels, and switchgear
  • Perform electrical testing such as continuity, insulation resistance, loop checks, and grounding verification
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, UL, IEEE, and applicable codes
  • Review and verify torque specifications using calibrated tools
  • Interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and wiring diagrams
  • Complete inspection reports, punch lists, and quality documentation
  • Assist with as-built documentation and Bill of Materials (BOM) verification
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action efforts
  • Enforce safety standards, including PPE, lockout/tagout, and arc flash protocols
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical fabrication, installation, or inspection
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, UL, NFPA, and IEEE standards
  • Experience with switchgear, VFDs, PLCs, and industrial control systems
  • Proficiency with multimeters, megohmmeters, and electrical testing equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Spanish bilingual is a plus


Pay

$26.00 per hour


Schedule:

Full Time | Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM–6:30 PM

Friday | 6:00 AM–2:30 PM

Saturday | 6:00 AM–11:30 AM
